Pesticides


Pest management technicians and pest management businesses in Western Australia are required to be licensed and registered with the Department of Health in accordance with the Health (Pesticide) Regulations 2011 (external site). 
 
The unsafe use of pesticides has the potential to cause adverse short-term or chronic health effects. To minimise risk to the public it is important that pesticides are used and applied in a safe manner. 
 
The following information outlines the requirements for applying for a:
  • pest management technician licence or
  • business registration
as well as guidance on the safe use and application of pesticides.
