Purpose

The Procurement Policy Framework outlines governance, process and documentation requirements for WA health entities (Health Service Providers and Department of Health) to ensure procurement activities are conducted with integrity, accountability, probity, and value for money. These requirements support effective, and consistent procurement activity and operations across the WA health system.

Mandatory requirements

The following are mandatory requirements pursuant to this Policy Framework:

The Department of Health, on behalf of the System Manager, is responsible for monitoring and ensuring WA health entities comply with the requirements set out in each mandatory policy.
