Training package to support tobacco retailers in Western Australia

The Tobacco Retailer Training Package has been developed to support retailers in WA to train and assess their staff knowledge and understanding of the laws regarding the sale, supply and display of tobacco products and smoking implements in WA.  

The sale and supply of tobacco products in WA is governed by the Tobacco Products Control Act 2006 (the Act).

Tobacco retailers are required to ensure their employees are adequately trained to understand their responsibilities when selling, supplying and displaying tobacco products.

This training package should not be relied upon as a substitute for personal review of the legislation or independent legal advice.

Tobacco Retailer Training Package

It is recommended that tobacco retailers provide this information and conduct training with employees at least every six months.
