Syndromes

Syndromic testing and treatment is a public health approach in areas with high rates of STIs.

A syndrome is a group of symptoms that patients describe combined with the signs that providers observe during examination. Although STIs are caused by many different organisms, these organisms only cause a limited number of syndromes.
