Join the WA Clinical Senate Executive Committee
The WA Clinical Senate, known for its vital role in influencing healthcare policy and practice, is inviting expressions of interest from clinicians to join its Executive Committee.
This dynamic leadership group is instrumental in steering the Senate’s strategic direction while fostering collaborative and innovative discussions around key issues impacting the delivery of high-quality and sustainable healthcare.
The Executive Committee plays a pivotal role in the Senate’s operations, with tasks including:
- guiding and overseeing the Senate’s activities
- setting the agenda and themes for Senate debates
- ensuring alignment with priorities and values of WA’s health system
- representing the Senate in key stakeholder forums.
The Committee convenes monthly and comprises the Chair, Deputy Chair, immediate past Chair, consumer representative, and up to four experienced health professionals.
The Clinical Senate is seeking applicants from all disciplines and sectors within WA’s health system, with a preference for those with current or recent acute care experience. Ideal candidates will:
- Demonstrate leadership and a commitment to clinical excellence
- Show a keen interest in health system improvement
- Exhibit a strategic, forward-thinking mindset
- Bring creative and diverse perspectives to discussions
Selected members will serve an initial three-year term, with the possibility of extension. To apply, submit:
