Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital CT Scanner
The Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) Radiology Department will be refurbished to accommodate a third computerised tomography (CT) scanner, which will support patients presenting to the emergency department.
The use of CT scanning as a diagnostic tool has increased steadily over the past decade, with SCGH performing the highest volume of CT examinations amongst Perth's tertiary hospitals.
Alongside the two CT scanners already in operation, an additional CT scanner will enable faster access for more Western Australians to quality care.
