Definition of a day hospital – class B (sedation)
Class B day hospital refers to a day hospital facility where “the following professional medical services are determined to be professional attention for the purposes of the definition of “day hospital facility” in section 8 of the Health Services Act 2016".
- any procedure performed under sedation, plexus blockade or Biers Block
- any procedure that involves the invasion of a sterile body cavity.
