This page includes general information about data collections available for request via Data Linkage Services, and supporting resources for core WA Health datasets, including data dictionaries, reference manuals and user guides.
Variable lists for health data collections are available via our Data forms page, or by contacting the relevant Data Custodian. Information about the data request process is available on our How to apply for data page.

Materials on this page are available for download. Please acknowledge the Department of Health as a source where applicable.
All datasets are managed in Western Australia unless otherwise indicated with an asterisk (*).
Administered collections
Content data for the following collections is available for data extraction via a custodian-administered server at the Department of Health.
*Indicated dataset is managed by organisation outside of Western Australia.
External collections
Content data for the following collections is managed by Data Custodians directly, and is available for extraction on an as-required basis.

Clinical coding information
Applicants seeking to include International Classification of Dieases (ICD) codes or Australian Classification of Health Interventions (ACHI) codes within their data request are recommended to contact the Western Australian Clinical Coding Authority (WACCA) to review the codes and provide classification advice.
The table below includes information about the classification systems used to produce the data in each dataset. A list of the ICD and DRG versions and time ranges for the Hospital Morbidity Data Collection and WA Cancer Registry is also available for download:
