Increase awareness of STIs and their risks

The campaign helps Western Australians understand the risks associated with syphilis and gonorrhoea and promotes awareness of sexual health across the community.

Encourage regular STI testing

The campaign reinforces that many STIs can occur without symptoms and encourages regular testing as a normal part of looking after their sexual health.

Promote condom use

The campaign encourages consistent condom use as a simple and effective way to reduce the risk of STI transmission, with casual and regular partners.

Reduce stigma and support behaviour change

Through clear, direct and non-judgemental messaging, the campaign aims to normalise testing and safer sex practices and reduce barriers to action.

• Syphilis and gonorrhoea are common and can affect anyone who is sexually active.
• Many STIs have no symptoms, so you may not know you have one.
• Regular STI testing is an important part of looking after your sexual health.
• Condoms help reduce the risk of STI transmission.
• Using condoms and getting tested are the key actions promoted throughout the campaign.
