Applicable to: This policy is applicable to HSPs that engage and employ AINs.
Description: The Assistant in Nursing (AIN) position is an unregulated category of the healthcare workforce, working under the direction and supervision of registered nurses and/or midwives to assist in the delivery of patient care in the acute and aged care settings.
