Most people with COVID-19 recover completely within a few weeks, while others may find it takes time for their energy levels to return to normal.

After having COVID-19, you should:

  • schedule medical or health appointments you may have missed while in isolation
  • stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccination - book your next vaccination for 3 months after COVID-19 infection, if due
  • consult your GP for advice and treatment if COVID-19 symptoms persist more than two months after initial infection

If you develop new COVID-19 symptoms within 4 weeks of ending isolation, when there is a small risk of reinfection, stay home until well. If you get new symptoms more than 4 weeks after initial infection, get tested.
