Purpose
The Infrastructure and Asset Management Policy Frameworkrequires that WA health entities (Health Service Providers and Department of Health) apply consistent approaches to infrastructure and asset management requirements and obligations in support of the WA health system’s strategic and service delivery objectives.
These mandatory requirements set clear standards across the lifecycle to ensure long-term availability, suitability, and sustainability of infrastructure and assets.

The following are mandatory requirements pursuant to this Policy Framework:
The Department of Health, on behalf of the System Manager, is responsible for monitoring and ensuring WA health entities comply with the requirements set out in each mandatory policy.
