Needle and syringe program

Needle and syringe programs (NSP) are a recognised part of the Department of Health’s efforts to prevent the spread of blood-borne viruses among people who inject drugs.

These 3 reports:

  • examine the number of needles and syringes distributed in Western Australia from 2003 to 2012
  • assesses the effectiveness and sustainability of a geographically specific NSP in the Midwest
  • evaluates the sexual health and Blood-borne Virus program’s statewide NSP to identify areas for possible improvement.
