Paediatric care closer to home

Families have greatly benefitted from reduced waiting times and speciality care closer to home as they access public hospitals for paediatric care.

New paediatric wards at Fiona Stanley Hospital and St John of God Midland Public Hospital – with improved facilities at Joondalup Health Campus, Armadale/Kelmscott Memorial Hospital, Rockingham General Hospital and Peel Health Campus – mean that many more families can receive the care they need in their own community.

This has flow-on benefits for Princess Margaret Hospital (and Perth Children’s Hospital scheduled to open later this year), as they continue to care for the sickest children.
