Newly opened Broome Health Campus
Newly opened Broome Health Campus

Broome Health Campus has been officially opened, marking a significant milestone in the delivery of health care to the Broome community and surrounding regions.

The phased $70 million-plus upgrade of the Broome facility has been designed to provide access to a high quality, modern health service to match the Kimberley's growing population.

The campus is now equipped with the latest specialist equipment and includes new operating theatres, consulting rooms for visiting specialists, a public dental surgery, refurbished maternity unit and an expanded emergency department, which has more than doubled to 15 acute bays.

The redevelopment is one of more than 80 projects under way across Western Australia as part of the State Government's $7 billion investment in health infrastructure.
