Apply for a Semester 1, 2026 scholarship to study nursing or midwifery.
Scholarships are available for those looking to enter the profession, progress their careers, or advance their expertise in a specialty area.
Applications close 4 pm, Thursday 5 February 2026.
Initial registration scholarships are for those studying to gain an initial qualification, including:
- Enrolled Nurse to Registered Nurse Conversion
- Registered Nurse
- Midwife and RN/Midwifery Dual Degree.
Postgraduate scholarships are for registered nurses and midwives to complete postgraduate study or further specialisation, including:
- RN Specialisations
- Postgraduate Midwifery
- Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner)
- Rhonda Marriott Scholarship.
Scholarships are awarded per semester, not a full year. You will need to submit a new application for each semester you wish to receive support.
The Chief Nursing and Midwifery Office will provide funding to eligible applicants upon successful course completion.
Scholarships are awarded based on current and projected workforce requirements and for areas of high clinical need.
