WA Health is reporting a total of 1,055 new cases to 4pm last night. There are currently 7,897 active cases in Western Australia.
Latest figures from overnight show, there were 228 people with COVID-19 in hospital, 6 in ICU.
Sadly, today’s report includes one death, dating back to 23 August, which was reported to WA Health yesterday – a man in his 80s.

Of the 1,055 cases, 388 were confirmed via PCR test, the remaining 667 were self-reported positive rapid antigen tests.
A total of 2,178 PCR tests were conducted at either state-run or private pathology clinics yesterday.
WA has recorded 1,125,989 cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
