WA Health is reporting a total of 8,144 new cases to 8pm last night. There are currently 40,539 active cases in Western Australia.
To 8pm last night, there were 200 people with COVID-19 in hospital, five in ICU.
Today’s report includes two historical deaths dating back to 2nd of April, which were reported to WA Health yesterday. The two historical deaths are a woman in her 90s and a woman in her 60s.
Due to patient confidentiality, no further information will be released by the Department on these deaths.

Of the 8,144 cases, 3,373 were confirmed via PCR test, the remaining 4,771 were self-reported positive rapid antigen tests.
A total 12,690 PCR tests were conducted at either state-run or private pathology clinics yesterday.
