The Department of Health has reported 44 new cases of COVID-19 overnight, bringing the State’s total to 355.
Of these new cases, 27 are related to the cruise ship Artania. An additional two cases are related to cruise ships, including one from the Ruby Princess and one from Ovation of the Seas.
Of the remaining cases, two are from regional Western Australia – one from the Kimberley and one from the Great Southern.
A further eight cases are related to overseas travel and one to domestic travel.
The ages of the cases range from five to 80.
Two of the new cases are healthcare workers. This includes a healthcare worker from Broome Hospital with a history of intrastate travel. As with all new cases, contract tracing is underway.
The number of recovered cases in WA is now 41.
To date, 13,833 Western Australians have tested negative for COVID-19 – 1,888 of these are from regional WA.
