COVID-19 update – 2 November 2020
The Department of Health has reported one new case of COVID-19 in Western Australia overnight.
The confirmed case is a male traveller in his 20s who returned to Perth from overseas. He is in hotel quarantine.
The State’s positive COVID-19 case total is now 770. WA Health is monitoring 39 active cases and 722 people have recovered from the virus.
Both the AL Messilah and the Key Integrity vessels remain berthed at Fremantle Port and are scheduled to clear quarantine on 5 November. Of the 25 positive cases associated with the AL Messilah, 17 have now recovered from the virus, with eight crew yet to cleared. The two cases associated with the Key Integrity have both recovered from the virus.
Yesterday 443 people presented to WA COVID-19 clinics – 436 were assessed and 434 swabbed.
There have been 493,613 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those tested, 83,213 were from regional WA.
