Reproductive Technology Council

The Reproductive Technology Council was established under the Human Reproductive Technology Act 1991 to advise the Minister for Health on matters related to reproductive technology and make decisions under the legislation.

The Council advises the Chief Executive Officer of the Department of Health on fertility clinic licence applications, considers applications to store embryos, considers surrogacy applications, considers application to perform preimplantation genetic testing, and approves research.
