For all cases of suspected poisoning call the poisons help line on 13 11 26 (24 hours a day) for expert diagnostic and treatment recommendations, available to health professionals of Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Advice is also provided on poisoning prevention, drug information and the identification of toxic agents.
Clinical toxicologists are available to provide specialist advice to medical professionals in cases of serious poisoning.
The Poisons Information Centre also:
- conducts high quality toxicology education and training for health professionals
- carries out high performance research in toxicology and poison information.
