Under the 2026 Free Influenza Vaccine Program, the WA Department of Health is offering a payment of $20.05 (excl. GST) per state-funded influenza vaccine (Fluzone®) administered to eligible persons by corporate vaccination service (CVS) providers, that are registered for the Program.
A CVS provider is defined as ‘a private for-profit organisation’ that is usually contracted to administer vaccines on behalf of another entity, such as administration of workplace influenza vaccines, as per vaccination provider type definitions outlined by Services Australia (external site).
Please note: The Free Influenza Vaccine Program 2026 does not provide payment for the administration of National Immunisation Program (NIP)-funded or privately purchased influenza vaccines, or payment to CVS providers which are not registered for the Program.
Registration
Invitations to register for the 2026 Free Influenza Vaccine Program have been sent to CVS providers with Onelink accounts. Registrations close 5.00 pm Thursday 30 April 2026.
CVS providers that wish to participate but do not have a Onelink account are advised to create a Onelink (external link) account and request a registration link from influenza.reimbursement@health.wa.gov.au.
Claiming and payment
Registered CVS providers will receive an email on the following dates with an online form to submit a payment claim:
- Tuesday 2 June 2026, for vaccinations administered during May
- Wednesday 1 July 2026, for vaccinations administered during June.
Claim deadline dates:
- 5.00 pm Wednesday 10 June 2026, for vaccinations administered in May
- 5.00 pm Wednesday 8 July 2026, for vaccinations administered in June.
To make payment claims online, CVS providers will need to:
- report the number of Fluzone® administered to eligible persons aged 12 to 64 years in WA who are not otherwise eligible for an influenza vaccine under the NIP.
- upload one invoice for the total number of Fluzone® administered to all eligible persons in that month, noting:
- $20.05 excl. GST is payable for the administration of a Fluzone®
- invoice numbers must be unique and not have been submitted to the WA Department of Health previously
- if invoices have incomplete or incorrect details (such as a repeated invoice number), the WA Department of Health will request corrected information or a new invoice
- CVS providers will have 14 days to provide this information or reimbursement claims will be rejected and no payment will be made.
Record keeping
Records of state-funded Fluzone® vaccines administered during the month of May and June must be maintained by the provider in the event of a WA Department of Health audit.
These records must include age of recipient, vaccine brand, date of vaccine administration, and AIR provider number. These records will not be required to be submitted as part of the payment process.
