The list of Same-day ACHI Procedure Codes supports compliance with Section 6.1 Same day admissions of the Admitted Patient Activity Data Business Rules.

The WA Clinical Coding Authority (WACCA) has governance of the Same-day ACHI Procedure Codes list and will add, update and delete codes in accordance with:

• Updates to the Private Health Insurance (Benefit Requirements) Rules 2011;
• Updates to the Australian Classification of Health Interventions;
• Consultation with the Australian Government Department of Health (i.e., the Medicare Benefits Schedule [MBS] Review Taskforce); and
• Consultation with the Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority (IHACPA).
