Free influenza vaccines for primary school-aged children campaign

This campaign raises awareness of the state-funded influenza vaccine for primary school-aged children in WA and encourages more primary school-aged children to get vaccinated.

Since 2020, WA primary school aged children have had access to free influenza vaccinations.

Primary school-aged children drive influenza transmission in the community. Increasing vaccination rates in this cohort will reduce the spread of influenza to the wider community.

Seasonal influenza is a common, highly-contagious, potentially serious, viral respiratory illness. Annual vaccination is the most effective means to prevent influenza.

For more information see influenza (flu) (HealthyWA) and influenza in children (HealthyWA).
