Find the right service for your level of health need, with information on costs, opening hours, wait times, and your available options – online, by phone, or in person.

WA has a wide range of healthcare services, from everyday health needs to urgent medical care designed to support you and your family.

Objectives

Improve health outcomes through appropriate care-seeking behaviour 

  • Support Western Australians to access timely and suitable care, leading to better health outcomes and a more sustainable health system. 

Build confidence in navigating the health system 

  • Improve community confidence in knowing where to go, and how to access care, for different health needs. 

Strengthen engagement with the WA health system

  • Promote trust, credibility and positive engagement across the health system by positioning alternative services as accessible, reliable and effective options. 

Increase awareness of alternative care options 

  • Increase public understanding of the range of healthcare services available as appropriate alternatives to the emergency department for non-life-threatening conditions.  

Promote appropriate use of emergency departments

  • Encourage people to seek alternative care for non-life-threatening conditions.
