Purpose
The System Performance Policy Framework outlines the expected standards of performance for WA health entities (Health Service Providers and Department of Health), and establishes requirements to measure outcomes, services, and key performance indicators against the State Government goals and priorities in the Outcome Based Management (OBM) Framework.
These requirements support consistent service delivery in line with WA health entity roles, functions and powers under the Health Services Act 2016, and promote the integrity of the OBM Framework.
Mandatory requirements
The following are mandatory requirements pursuant to this Policy Framework:
The Department of Health, on behalf of the System Manager, is responsible for monitoring and ensuring WA health entities comply with the requirements set out in each mandatory policy.
Approval
This policy framework has been approved and issued by the Director General of the Department of Health as the System Manager.
