Purpose

The System Governance, Risk and Assurance Policy Framework oultines mandatory requirements for WA health entities (Health Service Providers and the Department of Health) to ensure effective and consistent governance, risk management, and compliance across the WA health system, including statutory board accountability and integrated approaches to legal advice and risk mitigation.

Mandatory requirements

The following are mandatory requirements pursuant to this Policy Framework:

The Department of Health, on behalf of the System Manager, is responsible for monitoring and ensuring WA health entities comply with the requirements set out in each mandatory policy.
