Purpose
The Digital Health Policy Framework outlines the mandatory policy requirements for WA health entities (Health Service Providers and Department of Health) to ensure effective and consistent digital health governance and decision-making across the WA health system. This includes the secure and efficient use of digital health systems.
The Department of Health is committed to establishing and implementing robust digital health standards that prioritise information sharing and data exchange in line with consumer consent, privacy and cyber security standards. This will enable the WA health system to provide secure and timely access to information when and where it is needed.
Approval
This policy framework has been approved and issued by the Director General of the Department of Health as the System Manager.
