Equity and diversity at WA Health

Message from the Director General

Our workforce is pivotal in the delivery of WA Health’s best practice health care. WA Health values its employees and strives to provide work practices which allow maximum employee performance and morale, as well as the successful combination of their work, family and community activities.

I am committed to supporting and promoting a healthy work environment; enabling staff to fully participate in the delivery of quality, timely health care and providing staff with inspiration and job satisfaction.

I fully support WA Health’s Equity and Diversity Plan, and I expect all WA Health managers to commit to achieving its objectives. Developing an equitable and diverse workforce and a working environment free of harassment and discrimination where all employees are treated with fairness and respect will inspire positive cultural workforce change.

This commitment to the Equity and Diversity Plan will ultimately assist WA Health in providing a service which better reflects and understands the diverse needs of our patients and clients, and in creating a healthy WA.
