This website provides the latest information on fees and conditions for Visiting Medical Practitioners (VMPs) working in government non-teaching hospitals. If you have any queries please contact Peter Bartlett.

An RCTI agreement allows the hospital to produce a tax invoice on behalf of the medical practitioner, and adjustment notes are no longer required.

Under an RCTI agreement:

  • Your invoice is technically known as a 'claim'.
  • You are not required to calculate the GST - the health service will do it for you.

» Download RCTI Form

Should you wish to use this service, please print the form out, complete the left hand side and then forward the agreement to the hospital.

Hospitals may have individual ABNs. As an RCTI agreement can relate to only one ABN, a separate RCTI agreement will be required for each hospital.

Note: Some hospitals may choose not to accept RCTI forms.
