This report has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of the Financial Administration and Audit Act 1985, the Disability Services Act (1993), Public Sector Management Act (1994) and Government and Ministerial annual reporting policies.

Front Page: Technology takes the health system beyond established boundaries: In March 1997 the Health Department hosted a Telehealth Expo, attracting hundreds of visitors from around Western Asutralia and interstate. The Expo featured applications already used in WA including telepsychiatry and teleradiology, as well as leading edge technology which is set to bridge time and distance and improve the health of all Western Australians.
