To deliver public health policy and practice to worlds best standards; manage health risk and provide authoritative public health information; provide excellent support to health care managers on public health issues; and deliver public health programs and products which meet or exceed national and international benchmarks. This is achieved through four main program areas: Disease Control, Environmental Health, Health Promotion and Womens Cancer Screening Service. The Office of the Executive Director of Public Health is responsible for the administration of health related legislation (see Enabling Legislation). During the year the General Manager of Public Health also held the role of Executive Director of Public Health. Achievements
