Full services resume at Nickol Bay Hospital

Nickol Bay Hospital has resumed services to the public following the removal of its Red Alert status.

People travelling in Karratha, Port Hedland and surrounding areas have been advised to proceed with caution as Christine slowly weakens. However, destructive winds, heavy rainfall and flooding are still possible and Red Alert remains in place for Tom Price and Paraburdoo.

If you require urgent medical care for life threatening illness or injury, please contact 000.

The WA Country Health Service - Pilbara would like to thank residents and staff for their understanding and support during Cyclone Christine.

Please continue to heed the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) warnings and DO NOT drive on Red Alert.
