Mental Health Week

Mental Health Week raises community awareness about mental health issues and is held every October to coincide with World Mental Health Day. 

Some of the key events include:

  • Mental Health Good Outcomes Awards and breakfast
  • Living libraries enables the sharing of personal stories about living with a mental illness, caring for loved ones and working in mental health
  • WA Music Song of the Year encourages songwriters to enter in 14 categories, including a new Mentally Healthy category – the grand prize includes $5,000 cash, professional recording and mastering time, pressing of 500 CDs and a publishing deal

World Mental Health Day is held on 10 October each year and is coordinated by the World Federation for Mental Health.
