I work in an area where it would be very easy to identify me as the reporter – what can I do about ensuring my safety?

If you have any concerns that making a report could compromise your safety or put you at risk of repercussions, you should advise your line manager so that adequate provisions can be put in place. This may involve developing a safety plan with your line manager, colleagues and others.

You should advise the DCP Mandatory Reporting Service, on 1800 708 704, of any potential safety issues for yourself as the reporter at the time of making the report.
