Health System Team

A group of PERSONNEL MEMBERs that is formed to provide a particular service or set of services within the Department of Health.

These services may directly relate to providing care to CLIENTs (as in the case of a surgical team) or may be concerned with ancillary functions (as in the case of an equipment maintenance team).

Incident

Any incident that results in or has the potential to result in an injury to a STAFF MEMBER or CLIENT or an adverse event for a CLIENT.

Incidents generally have three possible components, which are generally treated differently.
1. Equipment Incidents: events in which an EQUIPMENT ITEM malfunctions so there is a potential danger to people. Medical device incidents are included here, some of which are notifiable.
2. Client incidents: unexpected events that may result in an adverse result for a CLIENT, such as a fall in hospital or the administration of incorrect medication.
3. Occupational health and safety incidents: events that threaten the safety of the workplace, or accidents that occur in the workplace.

Individual Health Service Provider

A PERSON who is qualified to deliver health care services of some kind to CLIENTs.

Payroll Activity Type

A classification of the payrate associated with a set of hours worked.

Position
