Enquiries and Complaints
How do I enquire or make a complaint about the wait for my elective surgery?
If you have an enquiry or complaint regarding the wait for your elective surgery, your first step should be to contact the hospital at which you are waitlisted for surgery. You can download contact details of local Patient Liaison/Customer Complaint Officers (PDF) at major hospitals.
Should you feel that your condition has changed or become worse since being placed on a waitlist for elective surgery, you may want to discuss this with your family doctor.
If you have contacted the hospital and/or you family doctor and still have not had your enquiry or complaint resolved, you may also wish to contact the Department of Health:Email: ElectiveSurgery.WaitlistComplaints@health.wa.gov.au
