Notes on Tables 1 and 2

  1. Data were extracted from the WA notifiable infectious diseases Database (WANIDD) on 14 May 2013.
  2. All data were analysed on the basis of the earliest available date reflecting date of onset of disease (“optimal date of onset” in WANIDD), with the exception of diseases marked with an asterisk, which were analysed by date of receipt of notification.
  3. Rate = crude rate per 100,000 population. Rates were calculated using Rates Calculator Version 9.5.5 (Department of Health, Western Australia)
  4. Totals include cases where the postcode is unknown or outside WA, but the case was diagnosed in WA.
