The purpose of standardised position titles is to enable WA health system stakeholders to accurately profile, map, plan and manage the composition of the workforce. The Policy seeks to ensure that approved standardised positions titles are applied, monitored and managed appropriately and consistently system wide.
Stakeholders from across the Clinical Services and Research Division have been closely involved with its development over an extensive period of time.
Three standardised position titles lists now been published as a result of consultations with allied health and health science, nursing and midwifery, and medical representatives.
The process to add, alter or delete entries on the position titles list will be made through consultations among Health Service Providers for System Manager approval. The current request form to make a change is paper based but it will be developed as a online form during 2017 by the System Manager.
