WA Health Substantive Equality Policy
As mandated by the Public Sector Commissioner’s Circular Number 2015-01, the scope of the Policy Framework for Substantive Equality (the Policy Framework) is to address all forms of systemic discrimination in service delivery, as per the Equal Opportunity Act 1984. Previously, the scope of the Policy Framework was to address systemic racial discrimination in service delivery.
The objective of the Policy Framework is to achieve substantive equality by:
The WA Health Substantive Equality Policy has been revised to reflect the broadened scope and objectives of the Policy Framework and reaffirm WA Health’s ongoing commitment and responsibilities. It includes reference to relevant supporting documents and resources.
The Policy was developed in consultation with key stakeholders across WA Health and the WA Equal Opportunity Commission.
