Misconduct Policy - Explanatory Notes and Template Letters
The WA Health Misconduct Policy (Policy), published as Operational Directive OD 0562/14, provides for the management of suspected misconduct. Suspected misconduct will be managed pursuant to the Misconduct Management Process set out in the Policy.
This is a whole of WA Health Policy which applies to all WA Health staff, except employees subject to the provisions of Part 5 of the Public Sector Management Act 1994. The relevant Public Sector Commission – Commissioner’s Instructions provide the procedural requirements for these employees.
Explanatory Notes (Notes) are located at Attachment 1. The Notes support the practical application of the Policy and in particular the Misconduct Management Process. The Notes represent suggested practice and are not a substitute for complying with the requirements of the Policy.
Template Letters (Templates) are located at Attachment 2. The Templates have been drafted to complement each phase of the Misconduct Management Process of the Policy. The Templates assist communication during the various phases of the Policy and are not intended to be used as a substitute for complying with the requirements of the Policy.
