Disability Access and Inclusion Policy
The WA Health Disability Access and Inclusion Policy has been amended to align with changes to the Disability Services Act (the Act) Regulations, and to clarify responsibilities for employees, managers and Chief Executives.
The Regulations now include an additional standard and outcome, Outcome 7, which includes the following:
All DAIPs must include information about how the plan will support improved employment opportunities for people with disability and break down some of the existing barriers. WA Health will be required to incorporate Outcome 7 into the next review in 2014.
The policy highlights the roles and responsibilities of Chief Executive Officers and Executive Directors:
