WA Health Preventing and Responding to Workplace Bullying Policy
WA Health is committed to providing and maintaining a safe work environment where everyone is treated with fairness, respect, equality and dignity.
Positive working relationships and high standards of behaviour between employees are fundamental in the workplace.
Workplace bullying is unlawful under the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984 (WA). Some bullying behaviours may also be unlawful under other legislation, for example the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (WA) covers discrimination, including sexual and racial harassment.
The revised WA Health Preventing and Responding to Workplace Bullying Policy has been amended to:
align with the WorkSafe WA Code of Practice – Violence, Aggression and Bullying at Work 2010
make provision for the resolution of workplace bullying grievances.
clarify responsibilities for employees, managers and Chief Executives.
