WA Health Point of Care Testing Policy
WA Health staff are advised that there is a WA Health Policy on Point of Care Testing.
This policy outlines the preferred means of providing point of care testing (POCT) throughout WA Health.
As part of the process PathWest Laboratory Medicine WA has constituted a Point of Care Testing Department to assist sites in the implementation and application of POCT.
There is also an on-line eLearning site (Magnus College) dedicated to assisting in the training of staff in POCT.
Magnus College is freely accessible through the internet at :
The POCT Department of PathWest Laboratory Medicine can be contacted on 9346 1838 or emailed at POCT.Pathwest@health.wa.gov.au
