Charging Arrangements for Hospital Accommodation while an Admitted Patient is on Patient Leave
This policy directive provides instruction on charging arrangements for hospital accommodation while an admitted overnight or multi-day in-patient is absent from the hospital on ‘Patient Leave’.
For reference purposes, the policy guidelines for ‘Patient Leave’ are provided for in section 3.2 of the operational directive OD 0343/11 (Admission, Readmission, Discharge and Transfer Policy for WA Health Services).
The following guideline applies with respect to whether an admitted in-patient is charged:
