Description: From 1 January 2008, smoking will not be permitted on all Department of Health premises and grounds through out Western Australia. This policy will apply to all staff, patients, visitors, contractors and other persons who enter DOH owned or leased buildings, grounds or vehicles for any purpose whatsoever.

Smoke Free WA Health System Policy

This policy replaces Policy No. OD 0050/07 that has been amended in order to minimise the exposure of employees, health service consumers and visitors to Environmental Tobacco Smoke (ETS) across all Western Australian Health System premises and worksites.

From 1 January 2008, smoking will not be permitted on all Department of Health (DOH) premises and grounds throughout Western Australia.  This policy will apply to all staff, patients, visitors, contractors and other persons who enter DOH owned or leased buildings, grounds or vehicles for any purpose whatsoever.
