Registered Nurses, Midwives and Enrolled Mental Health Nurses – Australian Nursing Federation – WA Health – Industrial Agreement 2007

On 13 February 2008 the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission (“WAIRC”) registered the Registered Nurses, Midwives and Enrolled Mental Health Nurses – Australian Nursing Federation - WA Health – Industrial Agreement 2007 (“the Agreement”).

The Agreement replaces the Registered Nurses and Enrolled Mental Health Nurses – Australian Nursing Federation – WA Health – Certified Agreement 2005.

A copy of the Order, Agreement and Implementation Guidelines and Explanatory Notes are attached.

The following effective dates apply to the Agreement:

  • The Agreement is effective from 13 February 2008.
  • Wage increases apply from 1 July 2007, 1 July 2008 and 1 July 2009.
  • The qualification allowance is effective from 1 July 2007 and increases to afternoon and night shift penalties apply from 1 January 2008.
  • Employees whose employment ceased prior to the date of registration of the Agreement (13 February 2008) are not entitled to the retrospective application of the first salary increase under this Agreement.
