Health and Disability Services - Support Workers - Western Australian Government Award 2001 - adjustment of wages and allowances rates
Please find attached a copy of an Order of the Australian Industrial Relations Commission varying Clauses 2, 14, 17, 18, 23 and 39 and deleting Schedule B - Translation Wage Provisions of the Health and Disability Services -Support Workers - Western Australian Government Award 2001 in accordance with the 2005 Safety Net Review. These variations are effective from the first pay period on or after 29 July 2005.
The changes to Clause 14 - Classification and Wage Rates have no practical effect for employees covered by the LHMU - Department of Health Support Workers Federal Agreement 2004 as the Agreement prescribes higher rates of pay.
Changes to Clause 17 - Shift, Weekend and Public Holidays Payment and Allowances, Clause 18 District Allowances and Clause 23 Miscellaneous Allowances may apply to employees covered by the Agreement. Payment of these allowances will need to be adjusted in line with the attached Order as outlined below:
