Consideration of Late Vacancy Applications Policy
The Department of Health Consideration of Late Vacancy Applications Policy was developed in consultation with key stakeholders across Health and in accordance with the 'Department of Health's Human Resource Policy Development Framework' (the Framework). The policy was endorsed by the State Health Management Team on 23rd August 2004.
The policy provides employees and managers with information about the consideration of late job applications. Vacancies advertised by the Department specify a closing time and date by which completed applications must be received. Late applications will only be accepted under exceptional circumstances.
This policy applies to all persons employed within the Department of Health, which incorporates the following entities:
This is a system wide policy and supersedes all polices related to the consideration of late applications in the Department of Health.
The Workplace Policy and Standards Branch and local Human Resource Services are responsible for the implementation of this policy. The Human Resource Management Committee has identified the minimum implementation requirements for this policy as Steps 1-6 as contained in the Framework. They are as follows:
